Community Gardening

We provide support and management for the borough's 3 community gardens in NDG, where residents can sign up for a garden plot for the year.

How to Get Involved:

Registration for the waiting list for the NDG community gardens is now done through the Depot! Only residents of the City of Montreal are eligible to have a garden plot. If you live in a different city (example Côte-St-Luc or Westmount) your municipal government has its own community garden program.

How to sign up for the waiting list for the NDG community gardens:

  1. Fill out the registration form. Download the form or pick up a paper copy at the NDG Food Depot (6505 Somerled Avenue).
  2. Review the rules of the community garden.
  3. Attach a proof of residence (example: a copy of your driver's license or bill, leases are not accepted).
  4. Return your form and proof of residence to the NDG Food Depot by email (, by mail or in person at 6505 Somerled Avenue, Montréal, QC H4V 1S7.
